This horn would be fine if hidden under a car hood. The cover is chromed plastic, not chrome. The one I received already looked worn in spots and the seams looked like they were glued. Again, under the hood it might work fine and who cares about the looks. I sent it right back and would not put it on my Harley.

I love the idea of this item. I ride a Harley Davidson Road King and drive long distances. Last trip was to the West Coast and back. The horn works great but please check out the packaging before you open it. Mine was opaque and It clearly looked like new old stock and I could not see the item clearly and once the package is open it’s destroyed, so returning it in the packaging is an impossibility. Mine had blemishes on the main body the “plastic chrome” appears to be peeling off and looks pretty bad. To return it would be more hassle and cost than it’s worth. The horn is great but unless I was offered a replacement at no cost to me I would not bother to return it. It bothers me that this is the only thing on my motorcycle that looks bad. People look at the horn and try it. They love the sound but always ask ” What’s up with the finish” I always tell them to check the packaging well before opening. The horn is great but poor packaging.

Just finished installing the horn. I really like the sound; much better than the stock horn that came on my Vulcan 900LT. But the installation was a bit of a hassle. I decided to use the fitting for the original horn, which was fine … no drilling. But the bolt that came with the unit was too short; another 1/4 inch would have been perfect. So had to fix that problem by not using the lock washer & nut that came with the unit, but getting a lock nut (one that has plastic insert) from hardware store. So, overall a good unit that I would buy again.

I just received this item and I am disappointed. It is louder than either of the air horns I currently have on my motorcycles but the mounting, as it exists, is not compatible with the Harley – Davidson horn mounts on either of my bikes. The H – D has a bolt that sticks out on which the horn is supposed to be hung and then a nut is threaded on to that bolt to hold it on. The Wolo has a mounting method that requires a bolt be inserted and then bolted through a hole in whatever the horn is being mounted to.

The mounting instructions talk about drilling a hole and there really isn’t a convenient place on the motorcycle where a hole can be drilled to mount this horn. I will probably make or have made a bracket that can be bolted to the Wolo and then hung on the horn mount of the bike. Also, I do not like the spade like bolt connection on the Wolo itself and feel that it a less than optimum mounting option.

The original equipment on my truck is twice as loud as this Bad Boy. I am very disappointed in this product. It is not nearly as loud as expected. I will probably end up throwing it in the junk pile and buying something louder!! We need a loud horn as we are towing a 5th wheel trailer. I had hoped that this would be the one, but it surely isn’t!
